The owners wanted to be able to access the pool and pool house via a covered walkway from their study which was mid-level between the first and second floor. This elevated doorway presented multiple challenges and opportunities; In addition they wanted to maintain a stream that was previously developed.
The solution involved creating an outdoor room as a gazebo feature as a halfway point in the height transition so that the spaces flowed in a logical manner.
The gazebo included an illuminated lantern and LED up lighting inside so that it would glow in the evening.
The lower covered walkway includes a bridge over the stream that has a glass floor panel that one must walk across.
