Innovative Products from the NAHB IBS 2022
The International Builder Show spotlights new products in the building industry and we look forward to learning about the new products and what they bring to the construction industry every year. While we couldn’t attend the show this year, we’ve done some research to find out what products were innovative and what the builders, designers, and contractors are excited to use in their projects. We know we will be utilizing some of these within our design work for our builder clients!
What You Can Expect in 2022 as a Builder/Remodeler
Columbus is in the Top 25 housing markets for investors. This leads to a competition with single family buyers, making the market even tighter. Builders have seen the demand for new homes and the push to get homes built, partly because of the lack of available existing homes. As reported in a recent Business Journal article, with information from Realtor.com, “2022 is shaping up to be nearly as competitive, but with perhaps slightly more inventory and slightly higher mortgage rates.”

Residential Designed Solutions Honored with National Design Award
Residential Designed Solutions has won an award for an Entire Home Remodel, $250,001 - $750,000 in the 2021 Best in American Living™ Awards (BALA) by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Award levels, including platinum, gold and silver, as well as Best in Region and Of the Year recipients, will be announced at the virtual award ceremony held during the 2022 International Builders’ Show in Orlando, Fla.
Builders - What to Anticipate in Home Construction in the Second Half of 2021
They say the only constant is change. And over the last year and a half, in the building industry, we’ve known this to be true. Some builders locked in prices for their clients, so that even as prices rise and fall, the price quoted to the client remains the same. Others have absorbed some costs, passed some costs on, or are somewhere in the middle. It’s important to remember we are all in this together–no matter how we are dealing with these unprecedented times

A Contemporary Farmhouse
From conceptual design sketches to a finished home — It’s always fun to see progress on projects we’ve had the pleasure of working on. This project with a Contemporary English Country feel is located outside of Lebanon, Ohio and is being built by Jimenez-Haid Custom Homes.
